Destination Bachelorette Party Idea: Dewey Beach, DE

The perfect idea for a beach getaway for a destination bachelorette party!

My now sister in law requested a bachelorette party somewhere different (not like Nashville or Vegas) that was by the water, had night life and things to do. So my search began and here we found it...the charming, ever so perfect...Dewey Beach. Find a sample itinerary at the end of this post!

We ended up driving from Cleveland, it was about an 8 hour drive, so it was long, but it was fun and we were there before we knew it. We also made sure to dress up the car with our Venmo. (We got most of our "donations" from sharing with friends and family on Facebook...no strangers. But it was still fun!)

For our stay, I found a great little Airbnb that was just a short walk away from the beach and all the fun spots (shops, bars, etc.)! We arrived on a Thursday evening and I sent the bride-to-be out with her sister so I could get down to business decorating our cozy little spot for the weekend.

Friday was our beach day! We woke up for a delicious brunch and mimosas of course. And then we headed up to the beach for a day of sunbathing, swimming and fun! The evening was filled with bachelorette party games including dirty pictionary, You can find these games and more on this post of some of my favorite bach party games. We ended the evening with a dance party!

On Saturday, we put on our matching Tshirts, put on our bach party temporary tattoos and headed out for a delicious brunch at The Starboard. They have an incredible Bloody Mary bar (which is one of the bride's favorite beverages, so she was thrilled!) Then we explored the beach town, did some shopping and found some souvenirs. We ran in to so many friendly people and the bride got lots of love! There was no shortage of good food and fun bars.

We headed back to the Airbnb and got dolled up for the evening. I planned a private sunset boat cruise with Sand Dollar Cruises (they do also offer day cruises, but the sunset was beautiful!). The captains of the boat were great! They had a table on the boat that allowed for lots of fun party games. And we were able to hook our music up to their speakers for the ride.

After the boat ride (which docked within walking distance of our Airbnb) we explored the night scene and checked out some different bars. Northbeach was our favorite - very roomy, several bars to order drinks from and a sandy floor. (heads up, some bars do have a cover charge after a certain hour).

Hopefully you just got your new idea for your destination bachelorette party!
